Welcome to CapitolGPA! Our site allows you to compare your votes with your Senator's and Representative's votes. Hopefully after using our tools you will not only be more informed as a voter, but also have a little fun. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Below is an overview of what you need to do to get started.
Step 1 - Queue & Submit Votes
- In this step, you will vote on bills that have already been voted on in congress. A basic summary will be given with a link to more detailed information including news and bill text
- You are not required to vote on all bills. However, the more you vote the better.
- Note: After you signup you can go back and change/add votes.
Step 2 - Create Login & Submit
- Creating a login is very easy. The only information we require is your zip code (to determine your location) and an email address.
- Also will reserve a screename. This will be displayed on any public comments you make.
- CapitolGPA.com is completely anonymous! No personal information other than your zip code is stored in the system. You can review our Privacy Policy for more details
Step 3 - Verify Yourself (optional)
- Certification takes your votes to a whole new level. Once your location is verified your votes will be added to the "master" count.
- We only report on verified votes. This prevents automated "bots" from skewing the votes. This also adds to the validity of the voting.
- We have created a few ways to get certified. We try to make certification as accessible as possible, so you have 4 options to choose from.
Step 4 - View Your Results
- After you voted a report will be generated for each of your elected officials. This is based solely on the votes you submitted. This report is also re-generated every time you vote, so your results are real-time.
- Note: Getting the participation of Senators and their opponents is a priority of ours. It is, however, a time consuming process. Especially when they initially refuse :) If you see that a Senator/Opponent is not participating and/or declined, please help us out and ask them to participate.
Tips...
- Check back frequently for new bills. As you vote over time you'll develop a history which can be tracked.
- Read our weekly update. It will contain links for you to vote on the latest bills as well as site updates.
